The preseason has arrived for the Dallas Cowboys and they’re wasting no time delivering some highlights.
It’s a much-needed early boost to what they hope will be a fruitful 2018 season, following a disappointing 9-7 finish to last year that came equipped with a playoff-less January. That turned out to be just the beginning of the turmoil, which is saying quite a bit considering the events that turned them from a Super Bowl contender to a eyesore on several occasions over the course of their 16 games. From the war between Ezekiel Elliott and the NFL to controversial comments regarding the Cowboys’ edict on the Anthem and everything in between, there was no shortage of negative press weighing on the team.
That train has continued into the offseason, engineered by a venomous divorce from record-setting wideout Dez Bryant and a whirlwind past few months for defensive end David Irving, who is still absent from camp and must serve a four-game suspension to begin the regular season. It’s certainly not all bad though, with Randy Gregory being reinstated after serving what was an indefinite suspension at the time and touted rookies already beginning to step up big in training camp and the preseason.
There’s a lot to sort out for the Cowboys, but things are seemingly coming together for both starters and would-be impact players, as evidenced in the following highlight:

It’s shaping up to be a huge season for Chidobe Awuzie, the second-year corner now fully healthy and starting opposite Byron Jones. Look at the elevation, ability to deflect, the subsequent focus and the ability to come down with this ball and you’ll see quickly how dangerous he can be.
